Pastor William Townsend

Presently serving as assistant pastor, overseeing our Senior Adult Ministry and hospital visitation, it is a joy to serve the Lord and witness His hand of blessing upon the Granite Baptist Church ministries. After eight years of teaching instrumental music in public schools and then attending and graduating from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, I ministered in Meadville, PA for 19 years as assistant pastor, interim pastor, and then school administrator. The Lord prepared the way and opened the door for my family and I to come to Granite in September of 1995. My wife, Marje, who has been teaching for over 24 years, teaches third grade at GBS. The Lord has blessed us with five wonderful children and fifteen grandchildren.
